Flint Battlehammer is a middle-aged dwarf from the nation of Karrnath. During the Last War he commanded one of Karrnath’s undead infantry units, and gained quite a bit of status through the later years of the war. Things turned out poorly for Battlehammer, however, when he commanded his unit into Cyre on an unplanned mission based on faulty intelligence, and the unit was caught within the arcane conflagration of the Day of Mourning. The unit was destroyed, and Battlehammer was court-marshaled for his negligence. Exiled from his home nation, Flint moved across the continent and arrived in the city of Sharn. There, he hired himself on as a member of the Sharn Watch in the Black Arch district of Lower Tavick’s Landing.
